The mission of Health & Wellness Channel® is to provide consumers a one-stop-shop for all things Life, Love, & Longevity™.
HWC® is a hybrid broadcast network consisting of one-third retail television (Health & Wellness Marketplace™) combined with a two-thirds traditional advertising model. HWC features exercise, studio audience talk, cooking, reality, relationship, and competition show programming. The network is headquartered in Miami, FL, with offices in the University of Miami Health District (the second largest health district in the United States), and a studio west of downtown Miami, with shows being shot on location around the country.
The company was originally founded in 2011 to launch on linear cable television, but with the shift in viewing habits, the increase in cord-cutting, and the exploding popularity of OTT technology, including initiatives by Amazon, Sony, Roku, Apple, and Google, the business has pivoted to launch in 9.8MM homes in Fall 2014, with another 25+MM OTT homes by end of 2014, including 2-3 traditional cable homes. With exercise, cooking, inspiration, meditation, motivation, reality, talk, gameshow, and 8 hours a day of health and wellness home-shopping, HWC is poised to be the destination for viewers who want to feel better about themselves and the world around them.
